Easter weekend

Saturday we decorated eggs for Easter. Lisa & Bill were stopping by for awhile on their way back home, so we had boiled an extra dozen for James. The kids had lots of fun coloring eggs. Brynlee immediately wanted to eat hers after she colored them. But not just one, several! The kids got their baskets Sunday morning before church. My mom and dad came down for Easter dinner after we got home, so they were able to watch the kids hunt for eggs. When we came home, the kids were disappointed that the Easter bunny didn't hide eggs in the backyard or the front yard while we are at church, until they realized that there were many, many eggs by the pool!

Our friends Lisa, Bill, and James stayed over on their way up north. I know we are not of Irish descent, but the kids were excited to celebrate this fun day!

The things they say....

So the kids were sitting at the counter having lunch before church today, and Craig turned to me and asked, "Is bits a bad word?" Sometimes, Craig's pronunciation isn't all that clear, so I heard something else. I immediately said, "Yes, it's a really bad word. Who did you say it to? " He responded, "Kylee. Sorry" Then Ainslee piped up and said, "I'm sorry too, Mom. I said it twice." So I then asked, "Why in the world would you guys call Kylee that?", completely miffed about how I thought they had been throwing around the "B" word and Kylee (who I think is the only one of the three who has possibly heard that word and would know it is not to be said) didn't come running to rat them out. Craig then calmed my fears when he said, "I didn't call her anything. I told her I was going to burn her to bits!" I told him next time he should say bits and pieces. Then I realized I had completely overlooked the fact that I should be concerned he had told her he was going to burn her! He told me he was kidding, but we still had a little chat about that! Just One More Day...

Okay, so originally this post was a poem that apparently was copyrighted. I didn't know. I just copied it from someone else's blog. Who knew? Paul said just to change a few words, then it wouldn't be the same. He's funny. Anyway, I took it down. And if you look at the comments, the person who says it belongs to them wanted me to contact them. That's not going to happen. My mom taught me not to talk to strangers! Plus, there's no reason to now...

A beautiful day!

Today was a beautiful day, but not just because the weather was sooo nice. My beautiful friend, Stephanie, and her absolutely beautiful children came to visit. I have been looking forward to this all week! We had such a nice time. The kids played the whole time. We just hung out, and it was great! I miss them so much since we moved. Kenna wanted to "stay until night and have a sleepover"~ I would take her in a heartbeat! Maybe next time! Thanks Steph for coming to visit and for your incredible friendship! Love ya tons! So I decided that after I get all of my chores done, THEN I could play and blog. Oh well, I got most of them done. This whole time change thing has thrown everything off! But the weather is beautiful, and there's a new park that opened close by, so I gave in and took the kids today. Most of their chores were done. What can I say? They just grow so fast, that I don't want them to think of their mom as one that never played with them and was always cleaning and making them clean. Plus it is spring break! I actually came into the office to clean some more, but instead here I post...
